Lara is a global Insurtech/Healthtech expert, anchored in the MENA region. Her distinctive role lies in sparking innovation within the insurance industry and nurturing innovative concepts into reality. She acts as a bridge between traditional insurers and Insurtechs, seamlessly connecting industry stalwarts with digital pioneers. Lara is also an advisor to selected start-ups entering the UAE and KSA markets.

Lara’s startup journey began with Prenetics, a Health-tech specialised in genomics that became the first Hong-Kong unicorn to IPO on Nasdaq. She played a pioneering role in introducing genomics to European insurers. Earlier, she has spent 13 years in the Insurance Industry with Generali Group and Coface. 

Lara's proficiency extends across EMEA, the Americas, and APAC, providing her with a comprehensive understanding of various insurance markets and lines of business. Presently, her focal point is catalysing innovation within the MENA region. Lara's legacy encapsulates innovation, cross-continental expertise, and a transformative zeal.
