Scott Lim is an Associate Director who leads the insurance supervision team at the DFSA. His team is responsible for authorising and supervising reinsurers, Islamic insurers, captives, intermediaries and managing general agents in the DIFC. He has been with the DFSA since 2007 in various supervisory roles, predominantly in the reinsurance sector. He is currently a member of the Standards Assessment Working Group at the IAIS. Prior to joining the DFSA he was a regulator at the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority. He holds bachelor’s degree in business and in law from University of Technology, Sydney. He was admitted as a solicitor in the Supreme Court of NSW in Australia.
