Shauna Vistad holds the role of Senior Vice President, Medical Investigations and Audit Department at the National Health Insurance Company - Daman, part of PureHealth, the largest integrated healthcare platform in the Middle East. She has held the role since November 2021.

In her current role, Shauna strives to elevate her team to high performing levels in areas such as audit sampling methodologies and data driven decision making, in order to minimise provider abrasion and disputes. Her oversight also extends to focusing on process improvement, standardisation, and the formulation of a robust Quality Review programme. Shauna has excellent verbal and written communication skills, which compliment her ability to work with colleagues across the business, to facilitate cross-departmental collaboration.

With over fifteen years of in positions of management and leadership, Shauna brings a wealth of experience in medical coding and reimbursement methodologies, as well as a strong passion for the prevention of Fraud, Waste, and Abuse (FWA) within the healthcare system. Most notably, in her pervious role as Director of Special Investigations Unit (SIU) at Oscar Health, Shauna established an industry standard financial reporting structure as well as exceeding 2020 financial goals by 111%.

Shauna holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of South Dakota. She also holds a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Criminal Justice, from North Dakota State University. She is an Accredited Healthcare Fraud Investigator (AHFI) through National HealthCare Antifraud Association, a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) through the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) through American Academy of Professional Coders, and an Certified Forensic Interviewer, through the Internation Association of Interviewers.
